Contest: design the Kitsap Pumas crest

From www.KitsapSoccerClub.com

“Design Our Crest” Contest Kicks Off Monday, Feb. 2, 2009

Bremerton, Wash. – One of the great traditions for a soccer club is the unveiling of its crest. Many of the greatest clubs on the planet have crests that have endured for decades – and in some cases, for over a hundred years.

The Kitsap Soccer Club (Pumas) will carry on this tradition and is looking to YOU - our fans - to make it happen — designing our crest!

“We want to get this community excited and involved in their team. We started with the naming contest, which had an overwhelming success. This now leads to the design of our crest, and more to come,” said Ben Pecora, Executive Director.

Requirements for the crest are as follows:

* The team’s colors (royal blue, gold, black and white) must be incorporated
* The crest must reproduce in greyscale (black and white)
* Deadline for submittals is midnight February 28, 2009
* Winner of the contest, to receive four covered grandstand tickets to the Pumas’ first-ever Opening Night match
* All designs must be originals

Our crest design is open to all ages and art teachers are encouraged to get your classes involved!

Please submit your entry to info@kitsapsoccerclub.com with the subject line “Crest Entry.”

We are set to kick off our inaugural season this spring, so don't let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass you by!

For further information please contact Ben Pecora, Executive Director, at 360-377-6008 or Vicki Williams at the Pumas offices.
