GOALSeattle connects with former Sounder Eddie Krueger

An interview with Eddie Krueger is the latest GOALSeattle feature on a former local player. It's now online here.

Eddie was there for the 1977 NASL Sounders as a 17-year old American rookie when Seattle lost the famous 2-1 Soccer Bowl dubbed as "Pele's Last Match."

He was there when FC Seattle arose from the ashes of the fallen North American Soccer League. Eddie even scored a goal against the Cosmos and for FC Seattle in 1984.

He was there in 1987 when the amateur Seattle Mitre Eagles made it all the way to the Final of the US Open Cup.

Check out some of Seattle's soccer past through the eyes of Eddie Krueger.
