Huskies impressing at MLS Combine

George John and Raphael Cox are both getting serious second and third looks at the Major League Soccer Combine taking place right now in Florida. With two days gone and one more to impress on Tuesday John and Cox are getting positive comments from combine attendees.

"George John - Again reading very well and his passing is great. He had meniscus surgery that ended his college season a little while ago and considering is moving very well. I only sense the slightest hesitation against wanting to run flat out. Great conversion to center back from holding mid going on here."

"Raphael Cox - Looking sharper. Moving well. A diagonal running type. Not as much upside as some others."

In other local news, it appears that former Columbus Crew defender Ezra Hendrickson will follow Sigi Schmid out of Seattle and assume an assistant coaching role:

"Ezra Hendrickson was spotted around the stadium wearing a Seattle Sounders FC top. Seattle is rumored to be in the market for one more assistant coach and E-Z wouldn't be a bad choice to fill that role." ---Goal.com

"The best player out there will be on our team this year," Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer told Jose Romero's Seattle Times blog.
